Big-bodied dual-threat QB still in Nevada’s long-term mix
In the 2026 season, Martirano is a 6-foot-2, 214-pound quarterback with a strong prep résumé and dual-threat juice, but he is not projected to see the field for Nevada this fall. He starred at West Albany in 2024, throwing for 2,150 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for 417 yards and 14 scores, and his career high school totals included 3,686 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, and 786 rushing yards with 25 rushing TDs. His appeal is arm talent plus power-rush ability; the catch is that Nevada’s QB room is crowded, so he looks more like a developmental upside swing than an immediate fix.
