Michael Rainey-Wiles brought juice as a punt-return weapon for VMI
Michael Rainey-Wiles is best remembered as a high-impact VMI playmaker whose calling card was field position and hidden-yardage value. In the 2010 season, he led the Big South in punt return average at 12.3 yards per return, and VMI notes also credit him with special-teams honors after a 52-yard punt-return touchdown in 2011-game notes tied to the 2010 opener. The fit is obvious: if a team wants a fearless returner with acceleration, toughness, and game-flipping explosiveness, he checks that box.
