Grant Wiles brings disruptive first-step juice to Mercer’s linebacker room
Grant Wiles is a lean, athletic linebacker who flashed real playmaking pop for Mercer, including two sacks in a 2021 spring game report, and his listed build at 6-0, 210 suggests a rangy fit for attacking downhill and on special teams[1][11]. The biggest selling point is urgency: he plays like a guy trying to make every snap count, which is exactly the kind of edge coaches love when they want intensity, motor, and positional flexibility over pure stat-padding[1][11].
