Ohio State Legacy Walk-On with Scholar-Athlete Credentials
Ryan Lukens is a 6-foot, 223-pound linebacker/fullback from Lebanon, Ohio, who walked on to Ohio State with impressive pedigree—his father Bill and uncle Joe were both Buckeye football captains. A standout from Archbishop Moeller High School, Lukens earned 2009 NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognition, demonstrating elite academic performance alongside football contributions. While limited offensive production (5 games in 2007), his value lies in his versatility across linebacker, fullback, and special teams roles, combined with his high character and classroom excellence—ideal for programs prioritizing student-athlete development and team culture.
