Utah Tech’s efficient, versatile back with real all-purpose juice
In the 2025 season, Bretton Stone gave Utah Tech a steady two-way threat out of the backfield, posting 189 rushing yards on 42 carries with 1 rushing touchdown while also contributing as a receiver and on special teams. At 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, he brings compact, usable power, enough burst to pop chunk plays, and the versatility coaches love in a space player. The big differentiator: he isn’t just a handoff back — he can help in multiple phases, which makes him a useful fit for a staff that values flexibility and toughness.
