Dilan Scargle brings playmaking DNA to Valpo’s secondary
Scargle profiles as a rangy, physical defensive back for Valparaiso, with early-career flashes of ball production and disruptive instincts that showed up in 2017, including interceptions and a fumble recovery touchdown. His listed measurables suggest solid burst and athletic upside for a DB at 5'11", 190 pounds, with a 4.65 forty and strong testing numbers from his high school profile. The appeal is the turnover potential and competitive edge; the caveat is that publicly available recent season stats are limited, so his current form is harder to verify than his upside.
