MEAC-Recognized Punter with Big-Leg Potential and Precision Touch
In the 2025 season, Shane Messenger was named to Morgan State’s preseason All-MEAC second team and the FCS Punter of the Year watch list, signaling conference-level respect for his game. In 2024, he averaged 37.5 yards on 51 punts, with 13 punts inside the 20, 19 fair catches, and four punts over 50 yards—proof he pairs leg strength with placement. He’s the kind of punter who helps tilt field position and looks like a strong fit for a team valuing consistency, hang time, and hidden-yardage wins.
