Big-bodied rim protector with a block-party ceiling
Becca Turney entered Eastern Michigan as a 6-foot-3 freshman center from Canon McMillan after averaging 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds as a senior, and she immediately flashed her calling card: defense and interior physicality. In the 2016-17 season, she posted a career-high five blocks in a game and was praised by EMU for anchoring a strong post effort, making her a clear fit for teams needing paint protection, rebounding, and energy. The upside is obvious if you want a classic inside presence who can change shots and bang on the glass.
