Lindsay Whorton’s shooting gravity and clutch scoring made her a top-end Drake backcourt weapon
Whorton was a highly efficient, high-volume perimeter scorer for Drake, finishing her junior season in 2006-07 with 14.5 points per game, 73 made threes, and a school-record climb that put her among the Bulldogs’ all-time leaders from deep.[1] She followed that with big-game production early in 2008, including 22- and 26-point outings and a 20-point, six-three-pointer performance against UC Davis, showing she could carry offense when defenses keyed on her.[3] The differentiator is her blend of shooting range, poise, and academic/leadership reputation—she was also a team captain and first-team academic All-American in her senior year.[5]
