proven Colgate linebacker with a nasty tackle-and-pressure pedigree
Patrick Friel is a Colgate linebacker profile built on production, pursuit speed, and backfield disruption—he once led the Raiders in 2012 with 79 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 6.5 tackles for loss, and earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors after a 16-tackle, 2-sack outing against Bucknell. His differentiator is impact plays, not just clean-up stops: he showed he can finish in the backfield and set a tone physically. If you value a high-motor linebacker who plays with edge and can tilt a game, Friel fits the bill.
