JUCO Scoring Sensation Turned Steady DII Contributor
Dewayne Wright Jr., a Junction City, KS native, exploded at the JUCO level leading KJCCC Division II with 18.4 PPG, 4.8 APG, and 40.8% from three in an unspecified recent season, including a 40-point outburst vs. Cowley County CC and a conference-record 8 threes in one half—showcasing elite scoring punch and sharpshooting flair. At Eastern Illinois, he settled into a bench sparkplug role, averaging 2.3 PPG, 0.7 APG (36.7% FG), proving reliable depth without the flash. His gritty, high-motor guard play makes him a low-risk, high-upside fit for teams needing perimeter scoring off the bench.
