Eric LaPorta’s value is in leadership, intelligence, and reliability at center
Eric LaPorta was a high-impact center for Albany, recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and a Campbell Trophy semifinalist, which points to the kind of dependable, high-IQ lineman coaches trust to anchor an offense.[1][4] In 2012 and 2013 coverage, he was described as a key part of a Great Danes team that reached Top-25 FCS rankings, suggesting he brought more than size or technique—he helped stabilize a winning program and fit the profile of a disciplined, team-first fit for a roster that values consistency and leadership.[1][4]
