Colgate’s old-school pocket QB with a tough-minded resume
Bret Mooney entered Colgate as a 6-foot-4 pocket passer out of Jacobs High School, and his profile points to a classic passer build rather than a run-first option.[2][3] In his early-college action, he showed the willingness to stand in and take hits, including a 69-yard outing against Albany in 2014 while facing heavy pressure.[8] He looks like the kind of quarterback who fits a structured offense that values size, poise, and timing more than pure improv. The catch: the publicly available data is dated, so this is more of a historical scouting snapshot than a current-season production report.[1][2][3]
