Darius Williams brings compact, physical linebacker energy to USF
Darius Williams is a South Florida linebacker with a reputation for physicality and production dating back to his high school days, when he posted 58 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and six sacks in his senior season. USF listed him at 6-foot, 210 pounds as part of its 2019 recruiting class, which fits the profile of a downhill defender who can hold up against the run and bring pressure when asked. The biggest reason to care: he looks like the kind of tone-setting LB who wins with toughness, motor and contact balance more than flash.
