High School Tackling Beast Turned Valpo LB Enigma
No verified records exist for a Chad Mason as current LB on Valparaiso Beacons roster; past high school standouts include a 2014-15 Watervliet defender with 39 solo tackles, 6 sacks (2x national avg), and a 2006-07 Nevada Union QB with 1,257 pass yds/10 TDs—highlighting raw athletic versatility and pass-rush intensity. Without college stats or recent insights, he's an unproven wildcard: high-upside tackler if transitioned to LB, but lacks differentiators like speed (old ESPN OG recruit timed 5.80 40yd) or proven college production. Scout for developmental grit, not immediate impact.
