Andre Smith brings veteran Winthrop guard play with elite career production
In the 2025-26 season, Andre Smith is the kind of guard coaches love: experienced, efficient, and proven, with 1,000 career points, 300 assists, and 200 made threes, plus a move into Winthrop’s top 10 all-time in career assists. He’s a steady two-way connector who can score, create, and stretch the floor, and the numbers suggest real floor leadership rather than empty usage. If you need a composed veteran who raises the team’s basketball IQ and can fit into a winning structure, Smith looks like a strong fit.
