LIU Sharks Guard David Hicks: Steady Freshman Scorer with All-NEC Pedigree
David Hicks, a 6'1" guard from LIU Sharks, posted 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in the 2007-08 season while earning NEC All-Freshman honors [6][10]. His differentiator is a proven scoring pedigree—he was Centre College’s all-time leading scorer (1,921 points) and a 1991 Kodak All-American before joining LIU [1]. Hicks brings intense, battle-tested confidence as a Mendota Heights native who played high school ball at St. Thomas Academy [3][9]. While his 36.9% FG% suggests efficiency needs refinement [6], his experience as a former All-American and record-holder makes him a high-intensity fit for teams needing a veteran-minded guard who can score in bursts and lead with authority.
