Southern U's Seasoned DB with Springhill Grit
D'Mekus Cook, a 5-9, 169-pound senior defensive back for the Southern University Jaguars in 2012, brought tenacious coverage skills and physicality from his Springhill, LA roots to the secondary; while specific stats are scarce, his compact frame and high school pedigree suggest a hard-nosed playmaker ideal for slot coverage or special teams. No notable injury history or recent updates post-2012, making him a low-risk, high-motor fit for teams needing gritty depth in the defensive backfield—watch for his ball-hawking instincts in HBCU matchups.
