Duane Brown brings elite tackle upside and rare athleticism to Virginia Tech
Duane Brown’s Virginia Tech story is a classic trench-gym glow-up: he arrived as a tight end, then became a durable offensive tackle who started the final 40 games of his college career and earned second-team All-ACC recognition as a senior in 2007. He stood out for athleticism, versatility, and a smooth transition to left tackle, which helped him project as a high-upside NFL blindside protector. If you want a tackle with position flexibility, bend, and proven development, Brown is exactly the kind of player Hokies fans remember for the long haul.
