a steady Texas Tech DB with proven tackling chops
Austin Stewart is a Texas Tech defensive back whose best known college stretch came in the 2013 season, when he played in 12 games with 9 starts and totaled 51 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 pass breakup, and 1 quarterback hurry. His calling card was reliability in run support and willingness to play downhill, with career highs that include 10 tackles in a game at Oklahoma in the 2013 season. He looks like a fit for teams that value physicality, assignment soundness, and a DB who does the dirty work without needing the spotlight.
