Cohen Bettencourt brings two-way value and a steady glove to High Point
Bettencourt profiles as a reliable **defensive catcher** with a strong throwing package, and he adds real upside as a **two-way player** after showing mid-to-upper-80s velocity on the mound and a 1.86 ERA with 37 strikeouts in 37.2 innings in the 2026 season. He also has a track record as a multi-year starter and conference champion at Charlotte Christian, which suggests competitiveness and consistency. If your team wants a catcher who can handle the staff, control the run game, and potentially help in multiple roles, he’s worth a close look.
