From YSU Freshman Starter to NAIA Coaching Star & Academic Standout
Anne Secrest burst onto the scene as a Youngstown State freshman forward in 2017-18, playing all 32 games with 17 starts (11 in Horizon League play), showcasing rebounding tenacity and scoring flashes before transferring. A consistent academic powerhouse—IBCA Academic All-State in high school, Peach Belt Academic Distinction and CSC Academic All-District at Lander (2022-23, 7.3 PPG in 18 games)—she's now an assistant coach at Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA) since 2022 with an MBA from Lander (2024). Her basketball IQ, work ethic, and student-leader vibe make her a coach-you-wish-was-on-your-roster gem, not an active player.
