Swayze Waters still pops as UAB’s all-time kicking benchmark
Swayze Waters is a decorated UAB kicking name whose 2007 season remains a gold-standard reference point: he hit 22 field goals that year, was perfect in a 5-for-5 outing against Alcorn State, and has been cited as one of the most productive kickers in Blazers history. The key differentiator is range and reliability under pressure—he was praised for booming long-distance accuracy, including multiple makes from 48 yards and beyond. If you value a kicker with proven clutch gene and big-leg confidence, Waters is the kind of specialist who fits a game-changing role.
