Darnell Rogers is UMBC’s tiny titan — quick, crafty, and impossible to ignore
In his UMBC years, Darnell Rogers stood out as a shifty, high-IQ guard who could score, create, and bother ballhandlers despite being 5-foot-2; in the 2021-22 season he averaged 11.7 points and 3.6 assists while shooting 91.0% from the foul line. He’s the kind of player who raises tempo, makes tough reads look easy, and brings real toughness and attention-grabbing outlier value — a perfect fit for a team that needs instant offense, ball pressure, and a fearless competitor.
