Khalil Barnes brings ball-hawk instincts and veteran stability to Clemson’s secondary
Barnes is a smart, high-impact safety who pairs range and playmaking with proven production: in the 2024 season he logged 60 tackles, a team-high four interceptions and five pass breakups, following a freshman year with three picks and strong backfield disruption. Clemson also notes he returned in 2025 after a hamstring issue, and coaches highlighted his communication as a stabilizing force in the secondary. He’s a good fit for teams that want an aggressive, instinctive defensive back who can read routes, tackle reliably, and create turnovers.
