Dennis Weathersby was a shutdown-caliber Oregon State cornerback with NFL draft buzz
In the 2002 season, Dennis Weathersby was regarded as an All-America-level corner for Oregon State, with 45 career starts, a school-record 57 passes deflected, and 4 career interceptions in college; scouts prized his rare size-speed profile and physical press coverage, and he was viewed as a likely early-round NFL pick before a 2003 shooting and later injury issues complicated his pro path. If you want a long, disruptive CB with proven production, swagger, and top-end ball skills, he’s the kind of defender who changes how offenses attack a secondary.
