durable strike-thrower and proven workhorse for Valparaiso
Lockwood enters the conversation as a steady, innings-eating right-hander who has already shown he can miss bats and handle heavy workloads, including a complete-game gem in 2025 and a strong start in 2026 with a 3.96 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts across four starts.[3][4] His profile points to a competitive, low-drama starter with a fastball that has sat in the upper-80s and a sharp downer curve, and he finished his Valpo career among the program’s all-time strikeout leaders while earning MVC honorable mention after leading the league in strikeouts and innings pitched.[2][5][6]
