Columbia’s disruptive guard who can flip a game with defense
Brittany Simmons was a defensive wrecking ball for Columbia in the 2025-26 season, highlighted by a program-record 10 steals in one game and a national USBWA honor for that performance. She stands out for anticipation, ball pressure, and momentum-shifting intensity more than pure scoring, making her the kind of guard who can change a team’s energy in a hurry. If you want a gritty, high-motor backcourt defender who creates extra possessions and embraces the chaos, she’s a very appealing fit.
