Gavin Balius is Ball State’s high-speed table-setter in 2026
In the 2026 season, Ball State senior INF/OF Gavin Balius has been one of the Cardinals’ most dynamic catalysts: he hit .306 with a .400 OBP, scored 50 runs, and went 40-for-43 on stolen bases, finishing tied for ninth in NCAA Division I in steals and third in program history for steals in a season. The fit is obvious if a team wants pace, pressure, and a true leadoff spark—he’s a polished contact hitter with enough versatility to move around the field and enough competitiveness to keep defenses on edge.
