Tavahri Groves brings big-play upside to Albany’s WR room
Groves enters 2026 as a sophomore receiver for UAlbany with proven burst and efficiency, posting 17 catches for 242 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns in 2025 while also contributing as a returner. His background suggests a playmaker rather than a volume target: at Quince Orchard, he earned first-team all-county, all-state and all-division honors and helped win a Maryland 4A state title, showing he can produce in competitive settings. At 5-11, 177, he looks like a fit for teams needing speed, versatility and upside rather than a possession-only chain mover.
