Joe Sanford is a big-bodied, system-smart control receiver with dirty-work value
In the latest available UMass profile, Joe Sanford is listed at 6-3, 210 and is described as a spot receiver who understands the offense, brings a surprise element after converting from quarterback, blocks well, and contributes on special teams. That combination makes him more than just a catch-and-run stat line: he offers football IQ, size, and edge. For a team that wants a physical receiver who can help in the run game and embrace role-player grit, Sanford fits the bill. The main question is volume, not usefulness.
