a depth-piece guard whose value is in development and system fit
Justin Murphy is listed as a Jacksonville State guard, but the available public record in the search results does not provide current-season stat production, so the best read is that he is a role player rather than a featured scorer. His value likely comes from guard fundamentals, practice-level reliability, and fitting into a structured team system, which can matter more than box-score volume for roster construction. If you want instant offense, he is not the obvious answer; if you want a guard who can compete for minutes through toughness, discipline, and coachability, he is the kind of player worth a closer look.
