a sturdy lefty arm with early-college poise and room to grow
Nate Fletcher, a 6-foot-4 sophomore left-handed pitcher for Rhode Island, flashed encouraging early-college poise in 2025 and finished that season 2-0 with an 8.35 ERA over 18.1 innings. The Rams trusted him in multiple relief spots, including a scoreless inning against Bryant, a career-long 2.0 scoreless innings in a win over Brown, and a three-batter ninth against NJIT. The appeal is the frame, the left-handed look, and a tested competitive streak; the question is command consistency. He looks like a smart fit for teams that value matchup flexibility and upside over instant polish.
