No Record at Syracuse - Likely a Mix-Up with Prodigy Brother Julian
No college basketball player named Leaf Newman appears on Syracuse Orange rosters or stats for recent seasons, including 2024-25; this query likely confuses with Julian Newman, the viral child prodigy (once averaging 12.4 PTS, 11 AST, 4.3 STL in high school varsity starts) now a struggling sophomore at Bethesda University (3.0 PTS, 16.7% FG in 2024-25). Julian's differentiator is his early hype and handles, but physical limitations and poor translation to college (e.g., 99-40 loss to IMG Academy) make him a risky, low-upside fit for any competitive team.
