veteran Charleston guard, defensive spark, and steady playmaker
Marquise Pointer is a seasoned Charleston Cougars guard whose value goes beyond the box score: he’s been praised as a tough, unselfish defender and passer, and he’s long shown a knack for creating in the paint and hitting open threes. In the 2015-16 season, he broke through with a 23-point game and a team-leading 13.0 points and 5.0 assists over a two-game stretch, and Charleston staff previously highlighted him as their “best defensive player” and Sixth Man. If your team needs edge, ball pressure, and a connector who won’t flinch, Pointer fits the bill.
