Tommy Egan is Troy’s swing-and-miss workhorse with Omaha-level poise
In the 2026 season, senior RHP Tommy Egan became a centerpiece for Troy, earning National Pitcher of the Year Watch List recognition after piling up 27 strikeouts against just 6 walks over his first 20 innings and later ranking among the Sun Belt’s strikeout leaders. He’s the kind of starter coaches love: durable, competitive, and calm in big moments, capped by a complete-game performance and a 7.1-inning gem in the postseason run to Omaha. The fit? If your team wants a battle-tested, strike-throwing veteran who can handle pressure, Egan checks a lot of boxes.
