Josh Powell gives San Jose State a savvy last-line defender with playmaking upside
Josh Powell brings the kind of safety play that coaches love: reliable tackling, solid field awareness, and enough ball skills to change a game when offenses get careless. Recent public stat pages for SJSU do not clearly surface his 2026 production, so the best read is on fit and role rather than box-score noise; he looks like a dependable, assignment-sound defensive back who can steady the back end and add toughness in run support. If your team needs a safe, disciplined defender who plays with edge, Powell is the type worth caring about.
