Reliable SDSU Depth Back With Academic Steady-Hand Value
Winterboer is a South Dakota State running back who, in 2026, is best known more for dependable depth and special-teams value than for headline-grabbing volume. SDSU lists him as a 5-foot-11, 200-pound sophomore who saw most of his action on special teams and has earned repeated conference academic honors, which hints at a smart, coachable, low-drama fit. He looks like the kind of back a staff trusts to do the dirty work, stay ready, and help the room more than he steals the spotlight.
