Wesley Smith brings safety depth and steady production to Memphis
Wesley Smith is a reliable defensive back for Memphis whose value shows up in the details: tackling consistency, ball disruption, and experience in the secondary. ESPN lists him as a safety with 124 solo tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions, which points to a defender who plays physically and finishes plays[4]. For a team, he projects as a fit if you want a disciplined, assignment-sound safety who can help stabilize coverage and support the run rather than a flashy, high-ceiling headline-grabber[4].
