Jack Westafer brought Yale veteran grit and playmaking juice at linebacker
Jack Westafer is a Yale linebacker with a sturdy 6'2", 220-pound frame and a résumé that includes backup duty early in his career, then senior-year recognition as a smart, reliable defender; in 2017, Yale credited him with an interception and a sack, and a Yale football evaluation described him as showing great speed, hard hitting, and an ability to defeat blocks. He also earned a spot in the 2020 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which points to the kind of disciplined, high-character fit coaches love.
