Illinois State TE John Nicholson brings veteran versatility and Springfield toughness
John Nicholson is a veteran Illinois State tight end from Springfield who offers a strong in-state background and the kind of steady, team-first profile coaches tend to trust. Public roster information shows him listed at 6'3" and 235 pounds in earlier Illinois State records, with a later listing at 240 pounds, suggesting a compact, usable frame for inline work and dirty-yardage duty. His appeal is less about flash and more about reliability, maturity, and fit in a system that values physicality at the position. If a team wants a dependable TE who can handle blocking and positional flexibility, Nicholson is a sensible fit.
