Brad Colbert’s value is in the glue: veteran guard, elite academic, low-usage connector
Brad Colbert is a 6-foot-2 graduate-student guard for Xavier who brings veteran stability, academic excellence, and a clear team-first identity; Xavier notes he spent four years as a walk-on before earning a scholarship, and his profile has been built on reliability rather than volume. In the 2024-25 season, he logged limited minutes and produced modest counting stats, but the differentiator is his experience, discipline, and willingness to do the unglamorous work. He fits best as a culture piece and emergency depth guard, not as a high-usage offensive engine.
