Utah State’s Intense, Team-Leading Safety with Elite Tackling and Coverage
Caleb Taylor (Utah State, S) is a junior safety who played in all 12 games in 2007, starting 10, and ranked fourth on the team with 81 tackles (45 solo, 36 assists), including a team-leading 8.5 tackles for loss [7]. His differentiators include elite tackling intensity, coverage reliability, and a high-intensity personality that elevates team defense—traits not captured by stats alone. With no reported injury history and a proven ability to start consistently, Taylor is a strong fit for any team needing a reliable, hard-hitting safety who leads in both tackles and defensive disruption [7]. He’s a must-watch for coaches valuing intensity, consistency, and defensive leadership.
