Gritty Walk-On Who Earned His Stripes at Indiana
Ahrod Lloyd exemplifies the walk-on success story at Indiana. The 5'11", 197-lb running back from Indianapolis earned IU's Outstanding Walk-On Player of the Year in 2019, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and determination. By his redshirt junior year (2020), Lloyd had appeared in all 13 games, showcasing durability and commitment. His value lies not in eye-popping statistics but in his intangibles: reliability, coachability, and the grit required to earn meaningful playing time as a walk-on. Lloyd is an ideal fit for programs valuing character, depth at RB, and players who maximize their opportunities.
