Veteran floor general with steady playmaking and scoring touch
Derryck Thornton’s calling card at Boston College was his veteran point-guard presence: in the 2019-20 season, he averaged 12.7 points and led the team with 3.4 assists per game, showing he could organize an offense while still creating his own shot.[1][3] He also delivered in pressure moments, including a 22-point outing in an ACC win over NC State, which speaks to his competitiveness and late-game poise.[6] If you need a guard who can handle the ball, create for others, and bring experienced stability, he’s a strong fit.[1][6]
