Gilmore is a productive, experienced defensive back who has shown he can create turnovers and finish plays: in 2024 at Georgia State, he played all 12 games, ranked second on the team with 2 interceptions and finished fourth with 53 tackles, and PFF tagged him as the team’s top overall defender among players with major snaps.[9] His 2020-23 Tennessee Tech résumé adds more playmaking—118 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 18 pass breakups over 30 games—so he projects as a steady, instinctive fit if Chattanooga wants a high-motor defender who can handle both coverage and run support.[9]
