the assist-first Gael who quietly did the dirty work
Marvin McCullough was a steady, veteran Iona guard whose value went well beyond scoring: in his Iona career, he piled up 481 assists, 182 steals, and 793 points, while becoming the first Gael ever to post four straight 100-plus assist seasons. In his senior season, he led Iona and ranked third in the MAAC with 139 assists, and his teams were 43-25 when he committed two or fewer turnovers. He’s the kind of floor general coaches love—smart, tough, low-drama, and relentlessly efficient.
