Gavin Hawkes is the Broncs’ bullpen ace, and the numbers back it up
In the 2025 season, Rider reliever Gavin Hawkes emerged as a true late-inning weapon, earning MAAC Relief Pitcher of the Year after posting a 1.88 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 29 strikeouts, and three saves in 38.1 innings. He stands out for poise, strike-throwing, and the ability to miss bats without giving away free bases; he also delivered a career-best six strikeouts in a no-hit 6.0-inning outing against Manhattan. If you need a dependable, high-leverage arm with proven conference-level dominance, Hawkes looks like a strong fit.
