Veteran Iowa State DB Zac Sandvig brought steadiness, special-teams grit, and coach-friendly reliability
Zac Sandvig’s Iowa State profile shows a long-tenured defensive back who contributed across four seasons, finishing with 46 solo tackles, 31 assists, and 1 interception in college. He stood out less as a flashy ballhawk and more as a dependable, assignment-sound player with special-teams value and a reputation for durability and academics, earning multiple Academic All-Big 12 honors. For a team, that makes him a fit if you want a smart, physical, low-drama defensive back who understands leverage and team football—more glue guy than headline grabber.
