Pepperdine's 2007 Clutch Hero Now a Veteran Walk-On
Shane Griffin, a 6-2 Phoenix native and 41-year-old Pepperdine guard, flashed big-time potential as a senior in 2007 with career-high scoring in an 89-82 OT upset over Santa Clara, proving his knack for rising in high-stakes moments[1][4]. Limited recent stats (0.8 PTS, 25% FG) suggest a role player with heart over flash, ideal for teams needing gritty depth, leadership, and bench intensity without ego—perfect for developmental programs valuing experience over stats[2][3]. Care because his poise under pressure differentiates him in crunch time.
